On May 28, Visionox signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Hefei Municipal Government, planning to invest in the construction of the 8.6th generation AMOLED production line project in Hefei Xinzhan High-tech Zone. At the same time, the two parties will work together to promote the investment, construction and production operations of the project. The project is expected to have a total investment of 55 billion yuan (RMB, the same below), which will further help Hefei build a world-class "chip" and "screen" industry development highland.
Monthly production of about 32,000 glass substrates
According to the memorandum of cooperation, Visionox's 8.6th generation AMOLED production line project will be located in Hefei Xinzhan High-tech Zone, with a total investment of 55 billion yuan and a designed production capacity of 32,000 glass substrates per month (size 2290 mm×2620 mm). The project will play the leading role of panel leading enterprises and accelerate the gathering of high-quality industrial chain resources to Hefei.
As one of the earliest companies engaged in OLED research and development and industrialization in China, Visionox joined hands with Hefei Xinzhan High-tech Zone in 2018 and completed the construction of the factory in only 23 months. The sixth generation AMOLED production line of Visionox put into use later is also the first fully flexible AMOLED production line in Anhui Province. In December 2023, Visionox's Hefei flexible AMOLED module production line was successfully lit up.
At present, the district has built three TFT-LCD high-generation liquid crystal panel production lines, one silicon-based OLED display device production line, one printed OLED technology research and development platform, and a flexible AMOLED 6th generation line. The cumulative investment in the "chip screen" industry exceeds 200 billion yuan, the total industrial output value exceeds 100 billion yuan, and the scale of panel production lines is leading in China.
In the next step, the district will accelerate the early start, construction and production of key projects in the industrial chain, enhance the industrial agglomeration capacity, form an industrial ecology with strong aggregation force, help the high-quality development of the industrial chain, supply chain and ecological chain, and continue to strengthen, optimize and expand the world-class new display industry base.
