Jetex Modular Rotary Desiccant Dehumidifier for lithium battery industry uses a revolving desiccant wheel to adsorb moisture from the air, creating ultra-low humidity environments (dew points of ≤ -40°C) necessary for sensitive battery components and electrolytes to prevent degradation and ensure product safety.

1. Structure of the Rotary Dehumidifier:
  • Desiccant Wheel (Rotor): The core component is a large, porous wheel made from desiccant material (like silica gel or zeolite) that absorbs moisture from the air. The wheel is divided into two sections: the process air section and the reactivation air section.
  • Air Inlet and Outlet: Separate air channels for the process air (needing dehumidification) and reactivation air (used to regenerate the desiccant).
  • Blowers/Fans: Move air through the system, with separate fans for process air and reactivation air.
  • Heater: Typically used to warm reactivation air to regenerate the desiccant material by releasing absorbed moisture.
2. Process Air Dehumidification:
  • Air Intake: Moist air from the environment is drawn into the dehumidifier through the process air inlet.
  • Moisture Absorption: As air passes through the rotating desiccant wheel, moisture is absorbed, resulting in dry air discharge.
  • Continuous Operation: The wheel rotates slowly (8-12 revolutions per hour), allowing constant dehumidification as different portions contact incoming air.
