What is an Air Handling Unit?
An air handling unit (AHU), on the other hand, is a device used to regulate and circulate air as part of an HVAC system. It takes in outside air, reconditions (filters, cools, heats, or humidifies), and supplies it as fresh air to the air-conditioned room. The air handler is a critical component in cooling systems as it ensures the circulation of fresh, conditioned air throughout the building.

Air Handling Unit Components
An air handling unit is composed of an air filter, cooling and heating coils, a blower, supply and return air ducts, dampers, and sound attenuators.

Air filter – removes airborne particles from the air
Cooling and heating coils – adjust the air temperature
Blower – propels the air through the HVAC system
Supply and return air ducts – carry the conditioned air to the rooms and return it to the AHU
Dampers – regulate airflow
Sound attenuators – reduce noise produced by the HVAC system.

Key Features of JETEX AHU :
  • Double 50mm Skin Panel, outer plate is made of high quality pre-painted steel sheet, while inner plate is made of galvanized steel sheet. In the middle is high pressure foamed hard polyurethane as insulation, thickness: 50mm.
  • Using advance software selection to have coil performance.
  • Filter sections of Aluminum pre-filter, medium filter, bag type filter HEPA filter are available upon application requirement.
  • High efficiency copper tube with Aluminum fin, chilled water coil, with drain pan, Hot water and electric step heating; Steam and Electrode type Humidifier are available.
  • Energy saving Heat Wheel Recovery section are available.
  • Forward, Backward inclined Fans are available for specific fan application; Fan assembly framework with adjustable motor base for proper fan belt tension adjustment; Spring isolator for Fan Assembly Frame is special non defective type for protection of vigorous transportation.
